The House

A few steps from the native house of the famous sculptor Antonio Canova, in the very heart of Possagno, "Tre Grazie" Bed & Breakfast is waiting for You. Surrounded by the beautiful Colli Asolani, at the foot of the historical Mount Grappa, the little town of Possagno is constituted by some medieval hamlets called "colmèi", where during the Middle Age social and rural life took place.

The Eighteenth-century house is a typical example, being flanked by a barn and with a promiscuous courtyard on the back. The walls are built with the local stone, following the old tradition of "tajapiére" (i.e. who cut the building stones).

Nearby the hamlet, where peace reigns and silence is broken only by the birds' twittering, Saint James small church shows the interesting fresco "Madonna del Latte". On the way to the town square You can find the Canova's collection of plaster casts (Gypsoteca) and the Temple Avenue (Viale del Tempio) which ends with the scenographic Canova's Temple (Tempio del Canova) headed by the geometric figures of "cogolà" .
